Hi FRANKDURHAM,
1. are you able to boot into Windows after the error message?
2. did you of recent changes on the computer?
3 when was the last time it was working fine?
Usually, this would happen if the hard drive is not set correctly in the basic input/output system (BIOS) or the settings in the basic input/output system (BIOS) are incorrect.
Basic input/output system (BIOS) is a program built into personal computers that starts the operating system when you turn on your computer. It is also referred to as system firmware. Basic input/output system (BIOS) is part of the hardware of your computer and is separate from Windows.
Microsoft cannot provide specific instructions for changing your CMOS and BIOS settings because they are specific to your computer. For more information about the correct CMOS and BIOS settings for your computer and how to check and change these settings, see your computer documentation or contact the manufacturer of your computer.
Important: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

We have solved this problem by granting explicit permission at the same time "domain users" and "domain administrators" you can plug in "domain" in the field and the search for the users and select them. But this solved the problem for us.

The product key from a portable computer that is running Windows XP does work on any other version of Windows XP? (OEM or retail, etc.)
original title: Windows XP Pro product keys
Different versions of Windows X is made?
That is to say) the product key from your laptop will work with "ANY" XP CD (OEM or other)
I know that with Win 7 there no difference
My wife has an XP laptop that needs a reconstruction (it is sloooow) and the original recovery CD corrupted - will be a work of standard CD - with its original product key?
I don't want to go there and try - for fear that once the installation started - the hard drive will be formatted and it won't come back!
Very!
Each version of XP had its own drive and discs were also different between OEM and retail channels.
Some manufacturers also BIOS-locked their discs so that they could not even start running on computers other than their own.
priority for the program continues to change running
Why would a program a priority continue to change while it is running?
I set the priority of the program in the 'normal' Task Manager, but it will change to 'low '. I have observed this failover so that the Task Manager is open and running the program.

Strike F1 key to continue after replacing power supply and pulling the battery system on Poweredge R410
Hi all
Recently, I replaced a non redundant power supply on my Dell Poweredge R410. During troubleshooting, I also temporarily removed the battery from the system at any given time.
The server is back up and running, but when booting, I get:
"The 4 fan speed can change in installation configuration feature and the option card systems
Press F1 to continue, F2 to run the configuration utility.
I think that some BIOS setting reset to remove the battery? I also see a lot of forum posts mentioning the cause of this error is the integrated SATA is connected to anything.
My hard drives are connected to a PERC via the PCI slot, and the machine has an optical drive. I don't see the existence of the optical drive in omreport.
Here are a few outlets omreport about SATA settings.
Integrated SATA controller: ATA
SATA port 0: Auto
SATA port 1: Off
SATA port 2: stop
SATA port 3: Off
SATA port 4: Off
Any advice on how to go about this debugging more?
Thank you!
Dave
Yes, it is possible that the optical drive is defective. Check the logs of equipment. Also enter the system BIOS setup using the F2 key and search for devices listed as unknown.

Non-system disk press any key to continue
About 3 or 4 times a week, my screen is black and says "press any key to nonsystem disk continues." When I press a key, the same sentence is repeated. And he repeats as many times as I press a key.
I don't know why it does this or what it means or how to fix it. Ideas? thoughts? suggestions?
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and make sure that the boot order is for the HD player to be 1st in the boot order.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
You can have Boot USB active 1st in the boot order.
See you soon.

n005tx Pavilion 15: "selected image is not authenticated to. "Press on enter continue" at the start of the
Hi all, I have a pavilion laptop g6 - 2253ca who works with a windows 8 (64-bit). I have a strange problem since this morning and an error msg "selected image is not authenticated to. "press on enter continue ' that appears when I try to start. I have not installed program on my computer before it happens. I just sailed on the Internet and all of a sudden the screen is grey and the msg appeared on this subject.
I went on several forums for information on this subject. That's what I did:
-hard reset
-Restart and boot into BIOS
-Disable secureboot and enable legacy initialization
-Press F10 to save and exit BIOS
-Restart
-the system asked me to enter a digit of 4 password and press ENTER to apply the changes
-done, but I got stuck another MSG: "no boot device, insert the boot disk and press any key.
Not able to find something else to move to another service I thought that maybe the value default bootable device was not the HARD disk if:
-I restart and boot into the boot F9 Manager
-does not not the same msg (no boot device, insert the startup disk and press a key) is displayed.
Try to run the auto repair using the F11 Recovery Manager, but I can't start on it during startup.
So, what should I do now? I am really disappointed...
Hello
Try loading at F2 run check disk test hard if that passes you will need a recovery disk. If the hard drive is not detected reinsert the disc hard try to rerun the test if you have the same hard disk problem that went wrong to replace the drive. Please call HP technical support check for warranty and the part replaced.

Computer laptop Toshiba has lost the use of F6/F7 screen luminosity keys
HI - my daughter went on a charity site and since then, AVG Free reports the virus "win32/DH. FF840283' as being resident on the computer and the screen keys F6 and F7 light has stopped working. Further within the AVG review reveals that it is in with the utility hot key Toshiba. AVG continues to report warnings of virus being resident in this utility and screen brightness keys continue to not work. I tried restoring the system (in safe mode) which fixed the problem temporarily, but the virus came back. I tried to reinstall the hot key utilities and put the rogue named file in AVG admitted of exceptions. Again, F6 and F7 worked for a while and then stopped with the warning of viruses yet to come. Any ideas?
Hello
I suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft security on your computer Scanner and check if it helps:
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.
How to: run CHKDSK - I have corrupted files
How to do a chkdsk utility. I'm not very good on computors.
Firstly - how are your backups of the stuff that you cherish on this computer? All files, photos, music, documents, Internet favorites/bookmarks, downloaded programs (installable files) and their product key (serial number) to prove that they are yours, etc. and so on? You want to make sure that these things are in place course * off * this machine before continuing. Why run the risk if you can still access them now... Save THEM to an EXTERNAL SUPPORT. Copy it to a CD/DVD or a USB hard drive. Drag and drop - all you have to do.
Then, for CHKDSK...
