What is Corned Beef?
Corned Beef refers to a beef brisket, which is a tough piece of meat, and tenderizes it through a salt-curing process.
Traditionally beef brisket is a very tough cut of meat that requires ho-hum cooking to become soft and tender. And although a corned beef brisket also requires low and ho-hum cooking, the alkali will help this cut of meat to get super tender.
You can find sliced cooked corned beefiness at your local deli that is nearly often used to make Reuben sandwiches. And of course in that location are now cans of corned beef that is oft used to make Corned Beef and Hash.
